The libretto from Francesca Caccini’s (1587-after 1641) opera La Liberazione de Ruggiero dall’isola d’Alcina contains five engravings of different scenes. The cover is made of decorative paper and the title-page is richly decorated. The opera was performed for the first time in 1625 and is dedicated to the Polish Prince Władysław (or Ladislao Sigismondo). The text is by Ferdinando Saracinelli.
